Hello, nice to meet you! My name is...
Now that you're here, let me tell you a bit about myself and my journey into design.
My name is Amy Zhang, a Seattle native with a background in architectural design at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Growing up, I have always been a design-minded child. Whether this meant art classes or drama performances, pottery or painting, there was no doubt in my little mind that the creativity pathway was built for me. Navigating my childhood was exciting, because even though I had a clear direction the possibilities were endless — design was in everything around me, from the shiny bowls we had in our family cupboard to the glowing shapes on my parents’ computer screens.

My aesthetic is characterized by bold and playful design choices. I often enjoy playing with multitudes of shapes and effective layering in my designs. My creative philosophy centers around the opinion that design is a multidisciplinary thing and a good designer can work on any type of creative project. Every project of mine prioritizes a focus on an iterative process of synthesizing research with user feedback and landing on a solution that best fits the user's needs, with a special interest in accessibility and inclusive design. My diverse background in different types of artistic endeavors and my pursuit of novel projects helps me continue to improve as a designer and allows me to offer a unique perspective.
